With all they hype going on about the Nexus One the past few days, Motorola Droid and Cliq owners were beginning to feel that they would be forgotten. Fear not. Motorola has announced they will be bringing the Droid and the Cliq up to Android 2.1.
There has been no official word on when exactly the update will be rolled out, but it should be within the next few weeks. You will soon be able to enjoy the 5 homescreens, updated picture gallery, and a faster UI. The Droid will also be getting a second maintenance update in the near future.
But that’s not all for Droid owners. Motorola has also been working on optimizing Flash 10.1 to run on the Droid chipset. So the Droid will officially have Flash support in the near future. Soon you will be playing those cheesy online flash games again. Isn’t technology great?
