After many months of small hints, EA and Visceral Games have officially announced Dead Space 2 is in the works. EA also released some juicy details about Dead Space 2 and what can be expected from the highly anticipated sequel.

Bioware has announced today that their latest RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, will be getting some downloadable content available for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC this holiday season. The new DLC pack, called Return to Ostagar will be available in North America and Europe.

The final reports are in. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has sold over 4.7 million copies on its opening day, November 10th. And that’s just for the U.S. and U.K.

There seems to be some issues coming up with the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2. A small, but annoying, issue arose yesterday when players started to notice that they were not getting awarded trophies for their multiplayer achievements.

Visceral Games, the developers behind Dead Space, has announced that a demo for Dante’s Inferno will be released some time in December 2009. The ‘Gates of Hell’ demo will include the entire opening level and introduce players to the game’s hero, epic storyline, and intense gameplay.

Hothead Games announced today that Jonathan Blow’s Braid will be making its way to the Playstation Network.
The unique puzzle game will be released on Nov. 12th with a price of $14.99, which was the price for the Xbox Live and PC versions. The announcement only covers a North American release so far, but we hear that a release for Europe and Japan are in the works.

Gearbox has released a much-needed patch for their latest title, Borderlands. The patch is only for the Xbox 360 and PS3 consoles so far, but don’t worry PC gamers, it looks like Gearbox plans to release updates for ALL the platforms as soon as they can.

Sony Computer Entertainment has recently struck a deal with its close sibling Sony Pictures Entertainment to release the God of War III demo with the Blu-ray disc for District 9. The District 9 Blu-ray disc is set to go on sale on December 29th.

Sony announced that Netflix will indeed be coming to a PS3 near you very soon. Netflix and Sony have partnered to bring thousand of movies and TV shows to the PS3, adding to the growing list of devices that are Netflix ready.
