Long before the stunning battle with Ares, Kratos seeks absolution by pledging himself to the Gods, playing the part of champion. 

After the world plunges into darkness, the Gods order Kratos to journey to the underworld to fight some of the most feared creatures of Greek Mythology.  There, he is forced to choose between his redemption or saving the world from destruction.  What will he choose?
