The speculation is over for all PS3 owners.
Sony announced that Netflix will indeed be coming to a PS3 near you very soon. Netflix and Sony have partnered to bring thousand of movies and TV shows to the PS3, adding to the growing list of devices that are Netflix ready. Although an exact date has not been officially announced, November is mentioned on the Netflix blog as the target release month.
To enable Netflix on the PS3, users will need a free, instant streaming Blu-ray disc that is will be made available to all Netflix members. The free disc uses Blu-Ray’s BD-Live(TM) technology to access the internet and activate Netflix on the PS3, which will need to have access to the internet via Wi-Fi or ethernet.
