With impressive first week sales figures coming in for Assassin’s Creed 2, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed 2 will be getting 2 new downloadable add-ons starting in early 2010.
The first episode is called Battle of Forli and will be released in January 2010. Not many details have been released, but it is rumored that the title refers to the town being seized by Cesare Borgia in 1499, thus having Ezio fighting for the town’s independence with Caterina.
The second episode is called The Bonfire of the Vanities, named after a historical event that happened in 1497. Thousands of objects like books, art, and cosmetics that were thought to promote sin were burned by the supporters of the Dominican priest Girolamo Savonarola. Details were not released by Ubisoft detailing if the content would even deal with the actual event though.
Ubisoft did release information on how much space the content would take up. Each episode would require at least 1GB of free space, so keep some space on your hard drive free for these rather large episodes.
Both DLC packs will be available for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Assassins Creed 2 deserves its success, good game. I hope Battle of Forlie has mass battles in the street, they were the best part of AC2, so hectic.
