New details have recently been released about the downloadable content coming up for BioShock 2.
2k Games will be boosting the new multiplayer mode by releasing the “Sinclair Solutions Test Pack” that will jump the max allowed player rank to 50, add rank rewards, new weapon upgrades, two new playable characters in Louie McGraff and Oscar Calraca, five new masks, and twenty new trials (although some level limits apply here).
“The fans who waited in the snow, rain and cold for the midnight launch of BioShock 2 have spoken and their message is that Rapture still has many fascinating stories to tell,” said Christoph Hartmann, president of 2K. “Downloadable content is a key part of our efforts to continue to entice the fans that have made 2K a household name – we intend to deliver single and multiplayer content that respects and expands upon one of the greatest fictional worlds ever created.”
The Sinclair Solutions Test Pack will cost 400 Microsoft points or $4.99, depending on what medium you play on. There has been no official date set for release, but we’ve heard it will be sometime in March.
And don’t forget that there will be more DLC coming for the single-player mode, adding narrative-expanding content that delves deeper into the lore of Rapture and its inhabitants!
