Halo Waypoint, the virtual home for everything Halo, makes it grand debut on Xbox Live today.
Available for Halo fans across the world, Halo Waypoint brings everything from the Halo universe together in one place. Halo Waypoint will feature daily updates, developer interviews, trailers, screenshots, video footage, community activities, and the latest in Halo news. It will also include an in-depth career system that will track players’ accomplishments across the Halo games.
When players download and “enlist” in Halo Waypoint, they will be rewarded with tons of Avatar Awardables, created by Bungie, when they attain specific achievements in the ODST game. Rewards can vary from ODST armor to t-shirts. And don’t worry, if you have already unlocked said achievements, the awards will already be there when you enlist in Halo Waypoint.
Included in Halo Waypoint will be a preview episode of the anime series “Halo Legends”, which will debut on Saturday, November 7th. Halo Legends will be distributed in early 2010 by Warner Home Video, and it will an anthology of anime short films that includes all new stories from the Halo saga. Previews of four new episodes will be available ONLY on Halo Waypoint during live-streaming events on Xbox Live over the next few months.
