Valve is releasing some new details about Left 4 Dead 2.
First on the list is more campaigns. If you were like me, I thought the first Left 4 Dead was a little short in gameplay. Playing with my boyfriend, we were easily able to go through all the campaigns in just a few hours. As of right now, there will be 5 campaigns in Left 4 Dead 2, one more than the original. Valve is also promising that each campaign will take longer to get all the way through.
It also looks like there is going to be a new cast of characters. There has been no official word from Valve about this, but if you’ve seen any of the videos or images, the survivors are not Bill, Francis, Louis, or Zoey.
Also, there will be some new weapons introduced in the game. Sounds like the focus was on adding melee weapons like a frying pan, chainsaw, and a fire axe. Hints were also spread about an achievement circling around the frying pan.
New enemies are being introduced as well. The first to be revealed is called the Charger. He is said to target players that tend to back up against walls to try and limit the direction in which zombies can come at them. He is supposed to knock players off the walls and right into the action. There goes my strategy!

Also, in the same release, there were hints dropped about the beloved Freeman coming back for another Half-Life episode! Yay!
