Valve is releasing some details about the upcoming Left 4 Dead downloadable content that will be released in early spring of 2010.
The new content, titled The Passing, will make fans of the first part of the series happy by inviting back the original survivors to partake in the zombie madness once again. Zoey, Bill, Louis, and Francis will be joining the current survivors, bringing all of them together for this new campaign. The new campaign will take place between the Dead Center and Dark Carnival campaigns.
Valve is also stating that players making their way through the new DLC will also encounter a new type of zombie (please no more shit that jumps on your face!), a new melee weapon, and a new firearm. It also sounds like segments of the new content will be available in the multiplayer modes, even mention of a new co-op challenge might be added as well.
