Get ready for some more multiplayer fun! The Modern Warfare 2 Rusurgence Map Pack will be released sometime today.
The Resurgence Map Pack, which is the second set of new multiplayer maps for MW2, will deploy today for the Xbox 360. PC and PS3 players will unfortunately have to wait a little bit longer for the downloadable pack to arrive on their system of choice.
“The MW2 Resurgence Package will be available later today. No exact time being given but I’ll let you know when it’s available for everyone,” wrote Xbox Live’s director of programming Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb on Twitter early Thursday morning.
There is a game update that is being pushed out first to prepare the game to handle the new material. If users remember back to the Stimulus Pack back in March, Microsoft failed to release the game update BEFORE the map pack, causing the maps to crash and kept key images from appearing. Microsoft is avoiding that issue by pushing the game update out first before officially releasing the new maps.
The new Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Map Pack will cost users $15 to download. Happy fragging!
