I found something interesting today on the internets. A picture of the faces behind Glados and Chell from the Portal series.
I always enjoy putting faces on the people behind my favorite video games. I also looked up some information on these two women to see if they’ve done any other video game related work.
On the left we have the voice of Glados, Ellen McLain. She is a voice actress and opera singer from Nashville. She has provided many voices for Valve games such as Glados, the announcer in Team Fortress 2, and was the Combine overwatch for the Half-Life 2 series. She is the only person to have her voice in every single game in The Orange Box. McLain also won an AIAS Interactive Achievement Award for Outstanding Achievement in Character Performance for portraying Glados.
On the right we have Alesia Glidewell, who was the face and body model for Chell. She is also a voice actress and also owns her own small film production company. She has suck striking features because of her unusual descent. Glidewell is of Brazilian and Japanese descent. She loves animals and can speak fluent English, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
